About us
COFFEE STAIN NORTH is a small game developer based in Stockholm that belongs to the Coffee Stain Group. Since we started in 2013, we have grown to 30 developers and are now looking for a replacement while our IT is on parental leave.

We take pride in making games that we ourselves would like to play, a philosophy that has led us to work on multiple kinds of games in the past, like A Story About My Uncle & the Goat Simulator franchise (click here to see what Goat Enough! is)!

The role
In this role your main focus is to provide IT support for our Coffee Stain North team onsite at our Studio at Fridhemsplan, Stockholm. Part of the role also include to support with purchases and different initiatives at/for the office. As we also have an IT department in Skövde you will be collaborating with them on bigger projects.

Tasks that we see you would handle on a regular basis are:

• Maintenance (updates and similar) of servers, construction machines, dev-kits, virtual machines including setup

• Purchase and maintenance of employee workstations, including problem solving/tech support

• Technology-related improvements in the office, for example solutions for the meeting rooms

• Work together with IT in Skövde (Coffee Stain Studios) on connections to their setup

• Handling licenses and procure allocation (JetBrains, Slack, Maya, etc.)

• Perforce support for the development teams

Your background
To succeed in this role, we see that you have some previous experience with above tasks, as well as knowledge within Perforce and Azure/Microsoft-suite. As we have employees from different parts of the world, it is a requirement to both speak and write in English and Swedish.

As you are alone in your role at our office, we believe that you are a person who can take responsibility of your own tasks, and are comfortable to raise issues or share ideas of improvements. Furthermore, as we are a gaming studio, we think that you might enjoy work even more if you’re a fellow gamer!

Practical info
The position is a temporary contract (vikariat) until January 2027 with start date as soon as possible. We are flexible if you want to work 60-100%, but as we see that this role is mostly needed when our team is onsite, we need you to be at the office at least Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays. Our office is newly renovated and we have, among other things, a ping-pong table, a big lounge area where we hang out, watch movies, or play games together, and last but not least – a giant goat statue (what more do you need?).

Apart from us, the Coffee Stain group consists of COFFEE STAIN STUDIOS in Skövde (Sanctum and Satisfactory), Coffee Stain Malmö (working on Goat Simulator 3 mobile, among other things) and COFFEE STAIN PUBLISHING who also work with close partners like Iron Gate (Valheim), Ghost Ship Games (Deep Rock Galactic), and Easy Trigger Games (Huntdown) to name a few.
